    We are seeking a Strategic Buyer eager to join our growing team in Varisco Product Company, Atlas Copco Padova.

    Varisco is a well-established and ever-expanding company. It manufactures pumps, both for dewatering and industrial use. In Varisco was acquired by Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational company with years of history behind it.

    As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for your own supplier portfolio and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the purchase of materials according to our standards.

    Main tasks for the role:

  • Managing a portfolio of commodities (evaluating current suppliers, strengthening the relationship, improving their performances, resourcing low performers)
  • Scouting new best suppliers (lead time, quality, price)
  • Negotiating the best possible conditions and drawing up contracts with suppliers
  • Establishing long-lasting and transparent relationships with suppliers
  • Developing ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, working towards a strategy of continuous improvement
  • Exploring and defining synergies with other departments
  • Building up a network across the Atlas Copco group and working collaboratively with colleagues all over the world
  • What we expect from our candidates:

  • Technical background – Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Availability for business trips
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
