HOTEL CONTROLLER - NEW OPENING TIVOLI PORTOPICCOLO SISTIANA RESORT:
The Hotel Controller has responsibility for the financial strategy and management of the property, requiring a strong commercial approach. Proven exposure to F&B and ability to support relevant HODs and GM is essential for succeeding in this role.


The Role:


  • The Hotel Controller uses financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identifies operating/financial issues, and recommends actions to maximize financial return.
  • Works closely with Hotel General Manager as well as Head of Departments to achieve hotel's controls and commercial goals.
  • Creates the annual operating budget for the property and provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities for department heads.
  • Supports the Hotel GM in the monthly forecast to align the business to changing economic environments.
  • Assists ongoing decision making of senior management by assessing risks and opportunities to improve key financial and winnings metrics targets.
  • Analyses ROI for capital projects prior to committing funds and, upon completion, determines if anticipated results were achieved.
  • Monitors and ensure the payroll and productivity controls are embedded in the hotel and support the HOD's in delivering to their respective targets.
  • Works alongside the Business Service Centre (BSC) to ensures sound controls and accounting standards are in place and adhered to, as per company policies.
  • Ensures all statutory; corporate & CSA requirements are met to safeguard the hotel.
  • Assists internal and external auditors as required.
  • Ensures analysis of departmental staff's training needs for operational departments is carried out and training programs are designed and implemented to meet needs.
  • Actively works at developing direct reports and identify high potentials.
  • Maintains training records for all direct reports and ensure they do the same for their staff

Requirements:


  • Computer tools (pack office) and Advanced level IT and knowledge of "SAP" hotel software is a plus.
  • Professional English knowledge and French Good written and oral expression is requiered
  • Spanish is appreciated
  • At least a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Accounting in hostel industry is essential
