As an Assistant Human Capital Manager, your key Responsibilities for Italy and Greece will be:
People Management Responsibilities

  • Manage the SEE HC Coordinator, based in Milan, providing supervision of deliverables as well as track and review performance, and create career development and growth opportunities for this person.
Employee Relations, Engagement and Communications

  • Handle and resolve employee relations issues
  • Escalate issues to HC leadership when necessary
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on issues relating to performance, fairness, and culture
  • Provide counselling on how to have a difficult conversation
  • Perform and support employee investigations in conjunction with HC Ops, when required
  • Build credibility through encouraging open dialogue and maintaining confidentiality
  • Manage involuntary terminations, ensure they are handled professionally and empathetically
  • Lead initiatives to build and maintain a strong office community in an inclusive environment
  • Support development of programs designed to create strong commitment and participation in office events
  • Create and distribute employee communications as required
Program Administration; Policy and Procedure Implementation

  • Provide guidance and answer questions on policy interpretation
  • Provide HC guidance and direction to office leadership
  • Manage Talent Management programs
  • Manage time off reporting, policies, service awards
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Benchmarks: make sure that benefits, company policies are competitive
Pre-Hire, Orientation, Training and Exits

  • Oversight of the processes handled by the HC Coordinator:
  • Communication with new hires prior to start date, obtain required information, set expectations
  • Manage hiring documents (employment contracts, agreements, annexes)
  • Manage new employee orientation, schedule and conduct sessions: guide new hires through HC and Finance processes (timesheet, expenses)
  • Process employee transactions (hires, terms, payroll changes, position changes, department changes, LOAs) for Workday updates via Employee Transaction Tool (ET)
  • Troubleshoot operational issues for new hires and exits
  • Manage exit process and ensure employee is transitioned properly (liaising with IT and Finance)
  • Obtain OWG HC approvals, as necessary
  • Support exit interviews process
Payroll and Benefits Oversight

  • Escalation point of contact for payroll and benefit questions
  • Approval of Internal payroll reporting
  • Problem solve issues that are not being resolved through the various helpdesk mechanisms
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the service center or HC Operations as necessary
  • Request special payments
  • Oversight Funds, Pension and Insurances payments, liaising with Finance
  • Review and implement new benefits
  • Manage and update Prosper platform (Italy)
Talent Acquisition and Retention for Support Professionals (SPs)

  • Support SP hiring managers and SPTM in understanding job requirements of open roles
  • Partner with SP hiring managers to manage onboarding process
  • Lead, implement and support SP talent retention and career development strategies
Other Responsibilities

  • Support Independent Contractor process (approvals, agreements, payments)
  • Maintain a continue dialogue with Finance
  • Maintain relationship with external labor lawyers and advise HC functions on labor law matters
  • Participate in _ad hoc _Global HC Ops projects
  • Provide relevant HC input to local Leadership to guarantee a consistent treatment of OW different population (Consulting, Specialist, SP, Actuarial)

Experience required**:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with 5+ years of human resources generalist experience required, preferably in a professional services environment in Italy, Greece
  • Three years leadership experience leading projects and/or teams, facilitating discussions, coaching clients, mentoring more junior HR colleagues, and advocating for policy or other initiatives

Skills and Attributes**:


  • Fluent written and oral English and Italian; working knowledge of Greek would be a nice plus
  • Current knowledge of employment law and practices in Italy and Greece
  • Driven to provide a high level of service in a fastpaced environment
  • Can work effectively autonomously and in a team environment
  • Creative, strategic forward thinker, who continually seeks ways to improve the way things are done
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the firm
