We are looking for a
Vehicle Electronic architecture
to join our headquarters at Sant'Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting hierarchically reports to Head of SW Release, Integration, Safety Whole vehicle
, functionally reporting to functionally to the Coordinator of Architecture, Safe and Secure vehicle development**.


You will be responsible to design the vehicle electronic architecture_, _the customer vehicle function List (FuLi) and the communication matrix.


Your responsibilities will focus on:


  • Perform feasibility and technical analysis to assess impacts of new concepts on communication matrix (K-Matrix), vehicle network architecture and customer vehicle function list (FuLi);
  • Create and maintain the list of Customer Vehicle Functions:
  • Check the consistency of the modification requests with the project related Customer Vehicle Function List (FuLi) and promote updates, if necessary.
  • Creation of the functional breakdown, identifying the ECUs involved in each Customer Vehicle function
  • Ensure the alignment of the function/component owners about any communication matrix change request
  • Steer and manage the release plan for the work products in its responsibility, according to the project development plans (PEP);
  • Manage the change request processes related to communication matrix (Kmatrix), vehicle network architecture and Customer Vehicle Function list (FuLi) using VW group tools.
  • Interface with the VW Group to be aligned on the current and new upcoming Group electronic architectures
  • Collaborate with harnesses department to harmonize the design of the physical vehicle network architecture with VW Group standards
  • Perform prefilter and collaborate to the creation of reuse analysis for Cyber Security and Functional Safety relevant items.
  • Support Cyber security and Functional safety specialists in the creation of item definition.
  • Create, maintain and distribute all the necessary work products by means of tools like JIRA, Confluence, PLM windchill.

About you

  • University degree in Engineering
  • More than 4 years of experience in related fields
  • Knowledge of:
  • Automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN. Automotive Eth and Flexray as a plus but not mandatory
  • Diagnosis communication protocols ad a plus but not mandatory
  • CANAlyzer/CANoe or similar tools
  • PrEEvision as a plus
  • Teamwork, also in the context of international teams
  • Empathy and active listening
  • Fully proficient in English, German as a plus but not mandatory
  • Experience in Automotive, Manufacturing Industries (similar processes/complexity)
