    Barilla G. & R. Fratelli is looking to appoint an Insight & International Development Professional to join their global team based in Parma.

    The role, reporting to the Insight International Development Bakery Senior Manager, involves managing brands such as Mulino Bianco, Pan di Stelle, Gran Cereale, Pavesi, Ringo, Togo, Gocciole, Pavesini, Gran Pavesi.

    Job Purpose The job focuses on providing project management, delivering consumer and shopper insights, and developing a data-driven pattern for Brand expansion, Innovation, and Competition management.

    The candidate will interact with stakeholders, gather ad hoc and syndicated data, conduct qualitative and quantitative research, and manage custom market data analysis.

    The goal is to build a consumer-centric culture, support brand growth, and identify expansion opportunities.

    Key aspects include delivering a "One Truth" to the business, fostering reporting efficiency, integrating insights into strategic initiatives, and promoting a data-driven, brand-led, and insight-inspired mindset.

    Key Accountabilities

    • On the basis of Global Bakery Category, supply briefs to external agencies, analyse the relative results, prepare reports and recommandations and diffuse data; coordinate projects across Regions and keep applied tools and analysis in the perimeter of I&ID global insights strategy.
    • Support consumers' understanding always fresh and up-to-date, acting as a "window on the world", constantly watching and interpreting the evolution of society, trends, lifestyles, collecting inputs to forge innovation.
    • Prepare desk analysis and meta-analysis on relevant transversal consumer topics.
    • Demonstrate the link between insights capabilities and business impact, highlighting new and non-obvious opportunities and identifying business pain points to guide improved performance.
    • Ensure that research are properly analyzed and translated into reports/action plans/recommendations, in order to encourage business decisions, inform strategy, enhance growth.
    • Keep 'consumers' and shoppers' fundamentals always fresh and up-to-date, with particular focus on Company's core targets and strategic goals.
    • Acquire research and ad hoc market data from well-known and trustworthy agencies and suppliers and prepare analysis/interpretation combining data and intuition.
    • Supervise and challenge data providers service performance and permanently assess their deliverables, enhancement process and technologies/analytics improvement; surface all current insights assets and capabilities in order to keep them at a leading edge level working closely to the I&ID team. Requirements
    • Degree from University or Business School

    Language skills:
    English (fluent)


    • Comfortable in an International Environment
    • At least 3 years in Market Research in an International environment, either a Manufacturing Company or MR agency, with experience in qualitative and quantitative management applied to all marketing areas; tangible passion for human behaviour and understanding of business success.
    • Experience in Data Analysis, Data Synthesis, Diagnosis and Framing, Strategic/Tactical Recommendations, Supplier Management and Vendor Negotiation.
    • Project management and Intellectual/business acumen.
    • Experience in managing methodologies to establish best practices. Ability to develop data interpretation using advanced tools, integrate diverse data sources into compelling storytelling, and effectively support and challenge decision-making. The candidate should be adept at identifying information needs and addressing gaps in data to enhance decision-making processes. Open to relocate to other Barilla offices if required.
