Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Fabric Buyer to join our dynamic team at a leading menswear brand.

As a Fabric Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing fabrics that align with our brand's vision and quality standards.

Your primary goal will be to ensure the timely availability of high-quality fabrics while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

This role requires a deep understanding of têxtiles, market trends, negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional products to our customers.

What will be your responsabilities?

Fabric Sourcing: Identify and research Italian fabric suppliers to maintain a diverse and reliable supply chain.
Market Analysis: Stay updated on the latest fabric trends, innovations, and developments within the menswear industry to make informed buying decisions.
Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and select suppliers based on their product quality, reliability, capacity, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
Negotiation: Negotiate favorable pricing, delivery terms, and contract agreements with suppliers while maintaining strong working relationships.
Fabric Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all fabrics meet the brand's standards for texture, color, durability, and performance.
Inventory Management: Forecast fabric requirements, manage inventory levels, and minimize stockouts or excesses.
Cost Efficiency: Optimize purchasing strategies to achieve costeffectiveness without compromising quality, aiming for favorable pricing and maximizing overall value.
Collaboration: Work closely with retail teams to understand fabric requirements and provide guidance on fabric availability and suitability.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of fabric purchases, pricing, delivery schedules, and other relevant data. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate performance, trends, and opportunities.

What do we expect from you?

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field.
Deep knowledge of market trends, fabric innovations, and sourcing strategies.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to make informed buying decisions.
