Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore. It is organized into five business lines: Asset Based Services, Energy Carriers, Offshore Wind, Sustainable Infrastructures, and Robotics & Industrialized Solutions.

The company operates eight fabrication yards and maintains an offshore fleet of 29 construction vessels, including 26 owned by Saipem, and 15 drilling rigs, with eight owned by the company.

Purpose of the Position

The Vessel Maintenance Surveyor will be part of the Asset Department within the ABSER (Asset Based Services) business line, focusing on:

1. Ensuring necessary resources and parts are available onboard to perform maintenance activities
2. Coordinating the implementation of any improvements onboard
3. Supporting the Vessel Management Team onboard with vessel certification
4. Performing periodic technical inspections of assigned assets
5. Supervising extraordinary maintenance activities when the vessel is at a shipyard

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Diploma in naval or mechanical engineering
• A permanent contract
• 3-5 years of experience with offshore units
• Familiarity with Office 365
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and an open mind
• Availability for international mobility or frequent missions (nice to have)
