At the moment, this role is focused on:

Optimising content production workflows, building customer-facing content experiencesas a product,architecting world-class content review platforms with machine learning and humans-in-the-loop.

Building scalable content enrichment and understanding platforms to unlock personalised content discovery and AI experiences.

Rolling up your sleeves and writing codeto get stuff done, acting as a floating architect and helping various teams design and develop solutions to challenging problems.

Putting on your product hat, and seeing opportunities for cross-team collaboration to work on new ideas and improvements that help achieve our goals whilst pitching your ideas to senior stakeholders.

Owning what you shipped, and championing the engineering and operational excellence of the software you build. Facilitatingknowledge sharing and effectively advocatingfor engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders within the group. You're probably a match if
You have commercial experience designing, building and maintaining scalable backend systems with 10k+ QPS.

You have 7+ years of experience using Java You have experience with initiating new product/platform ideas, successfully pitching to senior stakeholders and delivering them.

You have experience in training, deploying or scaling machine learning models to production environments which ishighly desirable. About the team

Our templates, photos, fonts, and stock media play a critical role in empowering our users to design anything and publish anywhere.

It will also play a pivotal role in Canva's AI strategy as the training data powerhouse. Content has far-reaching business impact and is a key driver of user acquisition, retention and revenue.
The content group's mission is to build the most valuable, inspiring, and diverse content library in the world.

This includes creating content through our in-house designers & creator community, ingesting content from our iconic partners, building a robust review system to ensure quality & safety and building a world-class content enrichment platform to empower Canva's AI magic.
