Sales, Hospitality Overview
Hotels are at the forefront in a world where digital and physical experiences are coming together.

Planet is excited about helping hotels help their staff and customers towards frictionless processes and experiences, with payment right in the middle.


Our Sales Hospitality team comprises of 150 employees globally and with the acquisition of Protel PMS, Hoist groups as well as Avantio, we are just getting started to provide a real feel good, connected experience at world's most well-known hotels.

Role Overview

We are looking for you to join us as Key Account Manager for our National and International Key Accounts:
You are responsible for establishing an intensive relationship with our key merchants. You are interested in the payment industry and in new developments in connected commerce.

You develop effective customer strategies and ensure that our customers know, understand and derive maximum benefit from our large product portfolio.

What you will do
Client Relationship Building

  • Visit our key accounts in Italy and ensure they have excellent knowledge of our business and service
  • Understand merchants' business needs and drive growth through crossselling and upselling
  • Maintain close relationships with local contacts to drive local expansion opportunities
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Make sure all Sales activities are clearly reported, documented, and shared internally
  • Scout for new businesses whilst creating and maintaining productive partnerships
Ongoing sales activities

  • Renegotiate agreements with existing customers and win business with new locations
  • Analyze portfolio trends, diagnose the root cause of performance, and create actionable plans for operational improvements
Account Strategy & Planning

  • Built and execute strategic account plans to drive growth
  • Produce and distribute statistics and information to Head Offices and accounts in your region
  • Input into the development of global account strategy by providing local insights and nuances
Who you are

  • Be a selfstarter and be able to work as part of a team
  • High level of selfmotivation
  • An outstanding sales track record and ability to convince, sell and close additional services and products within an existing client portfolio
  • Be confident and successful during calls and visits
  • Be a relationship builder with strong service attitude
  • Very good presentation skills, expressive
  • You are very familiar with the area and its surroundings
  • You love networking and willing to travel at a minimum of 50% of its working time
What you will need to bring to planet

  • Networking Background and/or Expert in the Hospitality industry
  • Sales Skills and Success managing dynamic account portfolios
  • Have excellent Italian communication and presentation skills; business English is required
  • Good decision making, problemsolving, and negotiating skills
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience
  • University degree
