We are now looking to recruit a motivated professional for the position of Strategic Buyer Indirect Procurement EMEA.
As member of the Indirect Procurement Team of Ideal Standard, you will be responsible for:

• Spend analysis and opportunity identification in the areas of Capex, Opex & MRO/TS/FM
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at the sites and acquire knowledge of the business needs to ensure that applied purchasing solutions meet the site's operational requirements.
• Sourcing process, either based on procurement analysis or on demand of internal customers.
• Ensure an objective sourcing process, in line with Ideal Standard Group Procurement policies and procedures.
• Contracting, in collaboration with Ideal Standard legal department
• Contract & vendor management
• Implementation in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Indirect Category Managers.
• Clear communication to internal stakeholders throughout the entire sourcing process.
• Provide the correct methodology across all implementations of Ideal Standard within the Procurement organization.
• Maintain and, where required, improve the cooperation and relation with suppliers in order to provide the best balance delay/quality/costs.
• Identify, assess and implement cost reductions, linked to the assigned (sub)categories.
• Optimization and renegotiation of contracts and SLA's.
• Deliver savings and respect objectives as per agreed levels with your management
• Build strong working relations as part of a Indirect Procurement team in Italy, as well as with colleagues from other functions and from other countries

The role is based in our Milan offices.


We are looking for

• 3 to 5 years' experience as a (Strategic) Buyer in Indirect Spend, covering
  Capex, Opex & MRO/TS/FM commodities:
• Experience in an international manufacturing organization. Experience in roles with multi-country/multi-plant scope is a strong asset.
• Fluent in Italian and English (written & spoken)
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong understanding of business and contract law
• Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and SAP)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven communication skills with ability to work across all levels in an organization
• Able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity, being able to perform structured and clear PowerPoint presentations
• Born negotiator with a strong business sense.
