    Lead Data Engineer

    As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a cutting-edge data platform, ensuring data governance, and ultimately empowering advanced analytics capabilities and data science models.

    We seek a forward-thinking individual who possesses a deep understanding of the structure and development of a data engineering team, as well as the ability to effectively split time between team management and individual contribution.

    We are looking for a candidate who consistently updates their knowledge base with the evolving tools and technologies within this domain and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of structuring and fostering a data engineering team.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

    • 6 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
    • 1 year of experience managing Data Engineers
    • Experience with ETL tools, such as Talend
    • Hands-on experience with relational databases and cloud databases, particularly Redshift
    • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Spark, Java
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Italian and proficiency in English language
    • Experience in Data Architecture: Cloud Architecture, Data & Solution Architecture, API, Amazon Web Services

    The ideal candidate will also have:

    • Experience with AWS Glue or dbt
    • Web API integrations
    • Knowledge of Google Cloud Queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
    • Customer Data Platforms (Segment)
