At a Glance:

The On EMEA Southern subregion is made up of France, Italy and Spain.

It is newly formed with France being an established market, Spain becoming an owned market 18 months ago and now Italy will also become an owned market from January 2024.

Italy is a hugely exciting and complex prospect and we believe the time is right to deliver a clear On proposition and grow the brand in this key EMEA market.

With the brand key city of Paris which drives huge consumer influence across the EMEA. Paris is a priority with the aim to win with running and fitness communities.

Through your strategic, dynamic, consumer centric and strong leadership approach, you will play an essential part in building a high performance team.

Which in turn will further develop and build the brand through a clear channel, customer, community and consumer approach with the Southern subregion.


Your Team:

At On, every day of our job is a new adventure that we start and finish as a team.

As Head of Sales EMEA - South you will be a part of an integrated sub regional team to deliver a strong cross-functional way of working that brings the brand to life in the eyes of the consumer.

You will report to the Head of Sales EMEA and will lead a team of 2 Market leads while leading the Italian market for the interim of 2023.

You'll also have a dotted reporting line of a subregional Technical Representative Lead.


Your Mission:


  • Ensure your team is coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development, while identifying and developing future talents / leaders
  • Deliver an integrated sub regional way of working with Marketing, Tech and DTC to build the brand in the subregion
  • Working cross functionally, coordinating the involvement of On teammates: Happiness Delivery, Operations, Regional Key Accounts and management resources (not exhaustive), in order to meet the On performance objectives and the needs of the consumer
  • Play a major role in helping shape the new sales organisational structure, culture and ways of working

  • Deliver exceptional leadership to the team by creating a high performance culture where your team can thrive in a supportive work environment.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels and adjust communication style depending on the audience.
  • Results driven, entrepreneurial, solutionoriented and a critical thinker
  • Reviews the team's performance and progress against strategic pillars and KPI's
  • Build and deliver an integrated sub regional strategy through a clear community lens, a consumer and a multichannel approach
  • Proactively lead the sub regional strategic account planning process with the Key Accounts that develops a mutual understanding of the consumer and delivers performance objectives, unit / financial targets and strategic initiatives across a 3Y period.
  • Plan, prepare and execute seasonal GTM excellence
  • Lead team to analyse and monitor consumer demand, category trends, competitor assortment and identify gaps in current assortment, content & availability, price, outofstock rate etc
  • Work with EMEA leadership teams to develop and execute a global governance model to support Brand consistency across all regions

Your Story:

- +8 years in a leadership position
  • Excellent leadership skills ability to empower your team to be the best version of themselves while developing new leaders
  • Experience in Commercial / Marketing / Buying & Merchandising / FMCG / Consulting / Digital-EcommerceOMNI channel / Brand delivery or Planning environment
  • Experience in defining brands through experiences, stories and product through multiple channels and consumer touch points
  • A deep understanding of the Italian culture, market and retail channels
  • An expert in building cocreated partnerships through a strategic channel and commercial approach
  • Channel, consumer, brand understanding across OMNI channels: digital, ecommerce, B&M
  • Strong business acumen, strategic, numerical, analytical and critical problem solving mindset
  • Open and self aware seeks to understand before being understood
  • You have a growth mindset to think and deliver beyond the current horizon
  • Experience in leading multi market teams and accounts and the know how to deliver our brand proposition to each market
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written
  • Being mobile, live in Milan or Rome or are open to the idea to relocate to Zurich
