Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer for design and coordination of projects at different phases (feasibility, FEED, EPC grass root and revamping) to be carried out in Milan office on permanent basis.

Visit to Client, surveys at sites, short and long assignment may be required, depending on project.

Key activities and Responsibilities:
Understand the project drivers as advised by the Project Team and ensure focus keeping during implementation
Guarantee high quality level of the documents and compliance with Project and Company procedures and standards
Participate in engineering discussions to solve project issues
Assure the coordination of the activities with the other disciplines and the different involved offices respectingthe budget (costs and man-hours)
Respond to Technical Queries (TQ) as raised by the EPC Contractor
Review and check of the design in 3D engineering environments
Check feasibility of technical solution with the use of laser scanning
Participate to model reviews
Coordinate local engineering Contractors
Review of engineering deliverables provided by Other, calculations and drawings prior to release
Preparation of monthly progress report
Preparation of Subcontract and Material requisitions, technical tabulations
Support to Procurement and Construction departments
Skills / Qualifications

Master Degree in Civil Engineering
Good writing and communication skills
Fluent English speaker and writer
Fluent in Italian
Large experience in structural and foundation design, in calculation in seismic areas and in revamping projects
Experience in coordinating international working groups located in different locations
Min. 10 years of experience in the position
