- Substance-related regulations,
- Extended producer responsibilities and
- Ecodesign requirements
In addition to compliance-related activities the position holder will support product teams of Electrical Americas concerning the Positive Impact Framework addressing product sustainability as well as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the design of and use Electrical Americas products and improving the product circularity of these products.
What you'll do:
- Advocates Eaton's commitments towards sustainable development in the engineering community of the Electrical Americas.
- Interprets existing, new, and upcoming product stewardshiprelated regulations of markets affecting products of Eaton Electrical Americas.
- Translates product stewardshiprelated regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications.
- Implements methods to estimate and report the scope3 emissions of the Electrical Americas portfolio.
- Applies new design principles, tools and methods to address and reduce product lifecycle emissions ("Design for Climate Change").
- Implements methods to quantify circularity such as recyclability, reusability, durability and disassembly of products.
- Supports new product
- DfC3") for ensuring that internal and external ecodesignrelated requirements are met.
- Supports activities related to lifecycle assessments and environmental product declarations
Qualifications:
- Comprehension of industry, regional, and country product stewardshiprelated requirements.
- Ability to collect, understand and communicate complex productrelated requirements.
- Strong teambuilding skills.
- Strong organizational skills including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completion.
- Thorough knowledge of productrelated design, production, and use practices.
- Adept at utilization of companywide system for productrelated data management.
- Ability to demonstrate managerial courage (e.g., managing varied interests representing potential conflicts).
- Ability to support crossfunctional process improvement teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in productrelated compliance management.
- Degree in ecodesignrelated engineering or science (e.g. electrical/mechanical
