Purpose of the role

As Finance Manager, to provide an effective and efficient Finance support to the Southern Europe offices of TEAM LEWIS (Milan, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona), delivering a high level of service and advice consistent with company and legal requirements.

Also, you will work closely with the Global Finance team based in London (our HeadQuarter), Germany, France and Benelux.


Key responsibilities

_Treasury and Cash Management_

  • Monitors cash balances and highlights fluctuations to the Finance Manager
  • Posts all incoming and outgoing cash for SE onto the internal system (Netsuite)
  • Reconciles regional bank accounts to the internal system (Netsuite)
  • Ensures sufficient funds are available for payment of suppliers, taxes and monthly payroll
  • Prepares and circulate fortnightly cash flow forecasting reports
  • Be the key point of contact for all regional cash queries

_ Accounts Payable_

  • Obtains approval for purchase/supplier invoices and post these onto internal system
  • Reviews the purchase ledger regularly and chase missing AP invoices
  • Ensures timely payments are made to suppliers within credit terms each month
  • Ensures supplier ledgers are fully reconciled on the internal system (Netsuite)
  • Maintains and update supplier ledgers with bank details regularly
  • Reviews regional SE staff expenses and process payment
  • Reconciles and post regional credit cards onto the internal system (Netsuite) each month
  • Assists with supplier qualification / procurement exercises
  • Be the key point of contact for all regional accounts payable queries

_ Accounts Receivable_

  • Reviews and update billing schedules
  • Reviews AR invoices for the region
  • Ensures customer ledgers are fully reconciled on the internal system (Netsuite)
  • Chases overdue debts timeously and reports concerning debts to the Finance team and Office Heads
  • Runs and circulates fortnightly debt report with commentary
  • Be the key point of contact for all regional sales invoice queries

_ Finance Administration_

  • Assists in the yearend audit process
  • Completes month end process for the region, to include ticking in and variance reports for the region
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepares quarterly VAT returns on a timely basis and liaises with our advisors to ensure payments are made on time
  • Updates and maintains Global Finance SharePoint
  • Corrects intercompany errors within internal system related to regional transactions

About you

  • At least 5/6 years of accounting experience
  • Experience of all core accounting processes (raising supplier invoices, credit control, accounts payable, banking, cashbook, reconciliations)
  • High English written and oral communication skills are essential
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
  • Ready to work with international teams, based in different offices
  • Soft skills:
  • Well organized, strong ability to prioritize, common sense; a pragmatic approach; strong attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative self starter with initiative, who is goal driven
  • Creative thinking "outside the box" to provide solutions and solve problems
  • Proven record of managing projects through to completion
  • Energetic, confident, charismatic a credible team player
