What's the Role


As a Business Analyst, Finance & Control, you will work in a highly visible, flexible and collaborative team in a fast-paced semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment.

The primary role is to support the Global Manufacturing Controller on Financial Controlling matters of the manufacturing site in Italy.

The incumbent would liaise closely with the Site Operations Head and various other stakeholders within the Operations organization, as well with the Business Control team of Global Operations based in Singapore.

As LPE was recently acquired by ASM, the key focus of this role in the next 6 to 24 months is to support integration of business and financial processes as well as SAP system implementation.


This is an individual contributor role and reports into the Global Manufacturing Controller and dotted line to the Site Controller.

He/she expects to work very closely with the Business Control team of Global Operations and Finance Shared Services team based in Singapore.


Accountabilities include but are not limited to:


  • Business Partner to the Site Manufacturing Head and various other stakeholders within the Manufacturing organization

Financial Controlling of the various functions in the manufacturing site including, but not limited to Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Facility and etc.

Management reporting & analysis including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

  • Manage
    month end closing activities
  • Review price changes and
    product cost setting
  • Drive
    cost and efficiency improvements
  • Perform
    variance analysis for cost of organization, freight, warehousing, purchasing, labour, production and other SG&A expenses
  • Labour hours and absorption
    reporting and analysis

Product cost calculation and projection. Analyze actual product cost versus forecast and standard.

  • Reporting and monitoring of
    capital expenditures
  • Ensure
    compliance with internal controls
  • Support external and internal audit (production variances, inventory and warehouse cycle count)
  • Support
    financial and nonfinancial projects

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification. CPA Certification is desirable.
  • At least 8 years of manufacturing operations, standard cost process and variances, costing and analysis experiences. Preferably from highmix equipment manufacturing
  • Familiar with product costing in a manufacturing environment / process
  • Selfmotivated and results oriented, hands on, proactive, able to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Meticulous and paying attention to details
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills and ability to connect well with senior management
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Experience in project management and/or system implementation would be advantageous
  • Navision and SAP knowledge would be advantageous
