Office or Field:
Office and field. Flexible work schedule.

Travel:
Some field work and travel are expected. Varies by position.

Compensation:

Compensation varies by position, typically $35 - $55 / hr plus overtime, travel, professional dues, benefits, and year-end bonus.

Variation in salary is determined by factors such as position sought, qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership and project coordination on a broad range of environmental projects in a variety of natural resource sectors working with Indigenous Partners and communities.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members.

Your education, training, and memberships:

  • Current or eligibility within 1 year for a relevant professional designation (e.g., RPBio, PBiol, PAg, RPF, etc.) is an asset.

Your skills and experience:

  • Five years experience with Indigenous Communities & related businesses.
  • Knowledge of environmental and forestry regulatory processes in BC.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Liaising with Indigenous partners, clients, and regulators.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Preparation and delivery of presentations to communities, Nation partners, and clients.
  • Organization of community and partner events and outreach.
  • Desirable Traits:
  • Willingness to present at seminars or conferences and for networking with other professionals and prospective clients.
  • A focus on results to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Ability to adapt to changes throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours to match client requests.
