In the position as Patent Information Specialist, you will be a part of the Global IP Department within the R&D Function and will report directly to the IP Director in Milan.
- Conduct patent, non-patent literature (NPL) and trademark searches (novelty, validity, clearance, FTOs, technology scouting, competitors' portfolios, legal status of IP rights) using free and commercial resources available; analyze and communicate findings in a complete and concise manner to internal customers-
- Support Patent Attorneys in patentability evaluations and other IP activities, such as IP Due Diligence and IP deliverables for R&D projects-
- Maintain IP department software licenses and updates and serve as the primary liaison between the IP team and external providers of search tools and databases and organize training for the IP team-
- Arrange IP alerts, and analyze competitor IP developments, and communicate findings with internal stakeholders-
- Perform some IP Administrator related duties when needed-
- Gather patent publications and other literature in technical fields that may be relevant to De Nora's technology study to determine technology and IP trends, deliver competitive intelligence in collaboration with Open Innovation-
- Issue periodical technology/IP bulletins and surveys-
- Engage in special IP information projects
Education and professional experience - At least Bachelor's degree in chemistry/industrial chemistry/physics/chemical engineering/material science or equivalent; scientific background on electrochemistry and electrodes particularly preferred; degrees obtained in neighboring technical fields will be also considered-
- 1+ years of experience in patent databases searches-
- Preferably qualified, or willing to qualify for, "Qualified Patent Information Professional" (QPIP)-
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written#LI-SC1
