Job Description:


Eurofins BioPharma Business Line is a global, premium-class contract research organization (CRO) covering the whole chain of drug development including the preclinical and clinical phases with focus on Early Development, Central Laboratory Services and Biopharmaceutical Product Testing.

Within this International Business line, BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) spans the complete product development cycle by performing analyses at every stage: API & impurities analysis, stability studies, method development and validation, packaging testing (suitability, protection, sterility), cleaning validation, environmental documentation, sterility testing and hygiene monitoring, for small and large molecules.

We are looking for the European Key Account Manager who will take the lead on strategic development of global client relationships, including the development of high level (Sr. Director and VP) relationships and joint strategic planning with the target accounts.

The KAM will be in charge of identification and winning of laboratory services business with select global pharma, biopharma and medical device companies to achieve account development objectives within target markets.

The KAM will have the responsibility to align objectives with operational strategies and capabilities throughout Europe, considering the deployment of the combined, very broad and deep offering of the European sites.


Job responsibilities:

  • Account Development planning analysis of clients' organisation and activities to assess the potential requirements that the clients may have for Eurofins Biopharmaceutical Testing Services. The job holder must continually develop knowledge of the outsourcing strategy of the assigned clients and develop short, medium and long term strategies that result in maximising the opportunities to provide the clients with analytical services. Account Development will involve collaboration with counterparts from other sites and business units.
  • Assessment of test requirements, methods and other clientsupplied study specifications and information in conjunction with Project Management, Pricing Groups, and other Eurofins functions to help design service solutions that meet clients' requirements. Overall responsibility for the provision of on time, high quality proposals that present the optimum solution for the client whilst ensuring on or above plan profitability.
  • Commercial management of contractual processes, with a very strong focus on contracting new business and pulling it effectively into the group, which comprises inter alia: Confidentiality Agreements, Preferred Provider / Master Services Agreements / pricing agreements. Responsible for the resolution of commercial issues / negotiations with support and oversight from senior management.
  • Reporting provision of account sales and revenue, activity and market status reports as required on a local or global basis as appropriate. Compliance with CRM reporting requirements.
  • Continuous improvement identification of opportunities for improvement of quality and services, including potential expansion of the offering, and effective communication of such potential with MDs of sites and other operational resources.

Qualifications:

Finance/business training would be a plus.

  • Experience and demonstrated success in BD roles towards senior levels in target industry, ideally for in and outsourced solutions (outsourcing experience is a must).
  • Proficiency within GxP environments.
  • Expert knowledge of the product commercialisation and manufacturing/supply chain process for their clients and markets and in particular the testing and service requirements therein. This should include knowledge of regulatory authorities, guidelines and quality systems relating to all services.
