  • We're seeking a future team member for the role of Principal, Tax Reporting Compliance to join our Wealth Management team. This role is eligible for flexible work arrangement.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Performs calculations for the most specialized and/or complex internal and/or external clients.
  • Assists clients in developing tax and/or other regulatory strategies and recommendations for reporting and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborates with tax and regulatory agencies to recommend positions favored by BNY Mellon.
  • Works with the most complex clients and their attorneys and accountants to establish plans for the tax and/or regulatory cycle, including deliverables and deadlines.
  • Proactively addresses any potential issues.
  • Provides guidance to more junior colleagues on tax or other regulatory calculations for the most complex or unprecedented circumstances.
  • Regularly presents analyses and tax and/or regulatory strategy recommendations to clients.
  • Assists clients in addressing highly complex tax and regulatory questions posed by their investors.
  • Partners with Corporate Tax to monitor the regulatory landscape and may develop recommendations for BNY Mellon's approach to regulatory changes.
  • Implements resulting process changes.
  • No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
  • Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
  • Supports the most complex client accounts.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree in a business discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
years of total work experience preferred.

  • Tax reporting and analysis experience preferred.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,700 and $133,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and longterm incentive packages, and Companysponsored benefit programs.
