About the job


The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager TN Italy is responsible for the development, maintenance and deployment of the quality and feed safety management system to support compliance with feed regulation, certification, internal standards and customer requirements.

He/she is member of the local management team, and trains and works together with the other functions to manage quality and feed safety on a day-to-day basis.


The QA Manager consults with the company's other departments, such as supply chain, production, procurement, formulation/nutrition, legal, sales and may communicate with customer's or supplier representatives.


He / she provides (hierarchical and functional) leadership and direction in the area of Quality Assurance and manages and develops a small team of QC and laboratory staff to ensure the required standards.


The QA manager is expert in quality/ feed safety of feed products, specialties and services for all animal species and drives continuous improvement in quality & feed safety through creating a quality & feed safety culture that makes quality a responsibility of us all.


You will support the implementation of the QMS necessary for the relevant markets TN Italy serves, contributing to the realization of organizations' goals and objectives, including training and process confirmations and you are responsible for the quality control program to verify compliance of products with predefined specifications.

Besides that you are also responsible for the qualification of suppliers, subcontractors and external warehouses and you will perform audits, internal and external.


You will monitor global and local Quality and feed safety performance indicators and report periodically their trends to the local management.


Finally you are also responsible for deployment of complaints, issues and crisis management and you monitor the effectiveness of these processes.


In this role you report to the General Manager with a functional reporting line to BU ECA Quality Manager and you are a key user of quality modules and a member of expert teams to continuously improve its user friendliness and reliability.

What you bring

  • Academic degree preferably in food/feed technology, or similar education
  • At least 5 years of work experience including 3 to 5 years in a comparable or relevant position in the food/feed industry
  • Know how in certification schemes including FSSC22000 and GMP+ international
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams in an international environment
  • Knowledge in quality management tools, Power BI, Microsoft Office (MS Excel)
  • Change Management experience (people oriented)
  • Know how to convince and persuade through constructive, trusted relation with stakeholders
  • Selfstarting / connector
  • Motivator and convincer
  • Fluent in English both in word and writing
