Our client is looking fora Technical Writer to author and edit our industry-leading technology for developers all over the world.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of effectively capturing and communicating technical information related to software products (API/SDK) and development procedures.
The Technical Writer's Responsibilities:
Create and maintain SDK documentationWork closely with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure quality and accuracy of content.
Design, draft, and edit technical and process documentation.Support the release and adoption of software.
Support multiple programming languages and development platforms.
Create and maintain code samples and sample applications, as needed.
The Technical Writer's Minimum Qualifications:
3 – 5years of experience authoring technical documentation for an engineering audience (
Client Note:
priority given to those that fall within that range)Experience with programming languages like C++, or similar.
Experience working with markdown content formatting.
Experience interpreting example code so that it can be explained to users.
Experience using source control to manage and publish content.
The Technical Writer's Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science or English or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with game engine development (Unity, Unreal).Familiarity with VR/MR concepts and technologies.
Established record of strong project ownership, project management, and self-direction.
Able to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and coordinate deadlines.
Able to assist in the automation of documentation processes.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50/hr – $58/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
