PRODUCT COSTING SPECIALIST:


Responsibilities:


  • Support the work of the business functions by providing cost estimates of new products, components, technical solutions, production processes.
  • Analyze the cost of products, components, technical solutions, production processes currently in use comparing them with similar new ones, to evaluate any possibility of cost reduction
  • Calculate the possible value of the cost components (material, processing, manpower) of each parts of the new products BOM, at the various stages of product development;
  • Principle Accountabilities:
  • Analyze in detail, with the support of Production Process Engineering, the production process of products or components, for a correct economic assessment;
  • Compare the cost of different products, components or technical solutions to identify, with R&D support, the cause of any cost differences;
  • Define, in collaboration with Purchasing, the target cost of the new purchase components;
  • Support Purchasing in assessing the adequacy of the cost of the purchase components;
  • Analyze any differences in the cost estimate of a new product at different stages of the development process.

Job Profile:


  • Knowledge of the main industrial production processes;
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred;
  • Ability to work both in teams and individually;
  • Logical and analytical mindset, attention to detail;
  • Ability to organize work independently to meet deadlines;
  • Good ability to work with other team members and colleagues.
