- Oversees the daily/shift operation within the Process Unit, in a way that is consistent with a culture of selfdirection (empowerment and accountability), to produce and deliver high quality products to customer in a compliant, efficient, and cost effective manner. Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), statutory, regulatory, and Novartis requirements.
- In addition to technicians missions, Major tasks
- Ensure that all operations are in compliance with the relevant regulatory, legal and Novartis guidelines and procedures
- Track and ensure shift/daily/monthly production targets are met
- During designated shift, ensure that:
- Conduct initial investigation and secure area if there is any safety incident and escalate to HSE, Production Head as per Novartis HSE guidelines
- Conduct preliminary investigation into any quality issue and escalate to QA and Production Head as per Novartis SOP's
- Manufacturing operations are on schedule and output is as per production plan.
- Oversight of housekeeping including support of 6S program
- Approvals of line clearance checks and release of equipment for production (including release in object log)
- Approval of AQL tests
- Participation in Safety and Quality walk troughs

Minimum requirements
- Education: PhD or MSc in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or Chemistry
- 4 or more years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry with direct experience with sterile manufacturing, 3+ years of leadership experience.
