    Noise and Vibration Specialist - CETENA

    Italy - Genova

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The resource will work in CETENA , a company of Fincantieri NexTech Group based in Genoa, and will operate within the Sea Trials and Laboratory Business Unit. The Business Unit carries out experimental activities on board of ships and qualifications of systems and materials in the Testing Laboratory, as well as developing projects of experimental research.

    The main interlocutors will be both the suppliers and customers of the Company and the Fincantieri Group, shipping companies, naval registers, and national and international research institutions.

    ACTIVITIES

    The resource will be mainly involved in the following activities:

  • Carrying out laboratory tests and results processing;
  • Execution and processing of measurements during sea trial activities;
  • Diagnostics and resolution of acoustic-vibrational problems encountered on naval units and on-board systems;
  • Editing of Test Reports;
  • Support the BU manager for the management, organization and planning of activities in experimental and laboratory tests.

    • REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    Master's Degree in Mechanical/Naval/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or equivalent in scientific faculties.

    Qualifications

  • Knowledge of national and international regulations relating to noise and vibration;
  • Experience in using noise and vibration acquisition systems;
  • Experience and expertise in Test Report editing
  • Knowledge of Mathematical noise simulation models;
  • Expertise in analysing signals and data acquired during measurements (noise, vibrations) and in preparing measurement reports;
  • Knowledge of modal analysis and related investigation techniques on structures;
  • Knowledge of basic metrology;
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken;
  • Aptitude for quality work, both in laboratory activities and in experimental tests;
  • Ability to respect the delivery times requested by the customer;
  • Aptitude for constructive relationships with customers and colleagues;
  • Aptitude for problem solving;
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office application;
  • Availability to travel in Italy and abroad;
  • Availability to perform experimental activities during navigation;
  • Driving license and availability to travel with company vehicles.
