Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will be responsible for:

Assisting implementation of annual HSE plans and priorities with a specific focus on translating plans and priorities into HSE activities at site level.
Working with cross functional teams to implement risk management processes, ensuring risk management plans are established and implemented, and reviewing risk registers and management plans to ensure they meet HSE standards
Supporting aspects of project HSE planning activities, in the field risk management and hazard reduction
Contributing to the development and delivery of HSE training. Provide coaching and on the job HSE training to project staff.
Ensuring contractor practices at a project level comply with Normet and client (HZL) statutory HSE standards and requirements, providing advice and workplace/onsite collaboration to assist contractors to comply with HSE standards and requirements
Assisting to carry out internal audits and inspections of site, equipment, and materials to ensure safe operations
Conducting investigations of incidents and near misses. Establish the facts, identify causes, make findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Providing leadership to improve HSE culture and performance at the site level, by continuously improving operational work practices, and by modelling rightbehaviours to achieve an interdependent safety culture
You will manage 1 HSQE officer, 3 Safety Champions.
