Material Planner

Compression Systems


This role will act as Material Planner in both Vignate Manufacturing (Plant) environment and Vignate Aftermarket (DLC - Distribution Logistics Center) environment, with defined objectives in Customer Satisfaction and Operational Efficiency.


Activities:


  • Operate constantly in plant and DLC ERP
  • Run DLC MRP, place order to external and internal suppliers, release work order and schedule components receipts
  • Run plant MRP, raise purchase requisition to plant purchasing team, create manufacturing orders, schedule material and production receipts
  • Update constantly delivery status of purchase order
  • Update constantly item planning attributes and sourcing characteristics in DLC ERP
  • Periodically mass update item categories and planning attributes based on data analysis
  • Settle payment disputes, minimize supplier delivery impact by account payables
  • Carry out planning and order management activities in aftermarket sub inventory of plant environment
  • Expedite suppliers for delivery of both finished goods and WIP components to customer needs
  • Manage Outside Supplier Process orders in plant environment
  • Work closely with plant planning & plant production to improve On Time Shipment of assemblies
  • Work closely with customer facing functions, engineering, procurement and suppliers for special orders to satisfy customer Technical Requirements and Documentation Requests
  • Negotiate material from other IR sites or other plant subinventories to satisfy customer needs
  • Work closely with procurement and tendering team for item enrichment of obsolete parts still in demand
  • Work closely with logistic/warehouse/finance/materialhandling to reduce cycle time of internal process steps
  • Manage Indirect Purchase Orders
  • Follow up purchasing part of claims
  • Monitor purchase price and take immediate action when necessary to minimize variances
  • Process Item Creation Tickets raised by tendering and other IR sites
  • Participate and run daily KPI meeting, take immediate actions for improvement
  • Coordinate/Run revenue meeting and chase completion of actions assigned to relative owners
  • Lead and participate crossfunctional improvement events and projects

Competencies:


  • Fluent in Italian & English, speaking and writing
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, good analytic skills
  • Business oriented, performance driven, biased to action
  • Operative, down to earth
  • Fast learner
  • Experience of ERP a plus, preferably Oracle/SAP/AS400
  • Buyer/Planner/Procurement/Engineering/Project management experience a plus
  • Knowledge of supply chain management a plus
  • OPEX knowledge & Problem solving skills a plus
  • Financial knowledge a plus
