Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore. It operates as one company with five business lines: Asset Based Services, Energy Carriers, Offshore Wind, Sustainable Infrastructures, and Robotics & Industrialized Solutions.

The company has eight fabrication yards and an offshore fleet consisting of 29 construction vessels, including 26 owned by Saipem and three managed by the company. Additionally, it owns 15 drilling rigs, with eight of them being under its ownership.

Purpose of the Position

As a Vessel Maintenance Surveyor, you will join the Asset Department within the ABSER (Asset Base Services) business line, carrying out the following tasks:

1. Ensure necessary resources and parts are available on board for maintenance activities.
2. Coordinate improvements on board.
3. Support the Vessel Management Team on board with vessel and equipment certification.
4. Perform periodic technical inspections of assigned assets.
5. Oversee extraordinary maintenance activities when vessels are at shipyards.

Qualifications

A master's degree or bachelor's degree in naval or mechanical engineering is required.

Labour Relationship

This position offers a permanent contract.

Years of Experience

Candidates with 3-5 years of experience working with offshore units are preferred.

IT Skills

Familiarity with Office 365 is essential.

Soft Skills

The ideal candidate should possess high communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team.

Nice to Have

Availability for international mobility or frequent missions is a desirable trait.
