Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting a Grid Connection Manager o join the team of an international Independent Power Producer (IPP).The Grid Connection Manager responsible for managing all aspects of grid connection engineering for high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) projects.
ResponsibilitiesOversee engineering activities related to HV/MV grid connections, including connection options and feasibility studies.
Carry out preliminary analyses to identify the most suitable grid solutions (both technically and economically) for each project, considering timing and feasibility.
Liaise and collaborate closely with DNOs and TSOs.Perform technical reviews of third-party owner's engineering deliverable to ensure compliance with company standards and relevant industry codes.
Provide technical support to internal and external teams in the design of renewable energy plants, particularly with regard to electrical engineering.
The role requires regular interaction with internal multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.Therefore, the candidate must be comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and communicating effectively across different functions and organisations.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with 3-4 years of professional experience in the energy sector, preferably in renewables and MV/HV grid connection with DNOs/TSOs (e.g., e-distribuzione / Terna).
Solid understanding of the Italian Grid Code and technical requirements for connecting large-scale renewable energy plants to the national grid.
Basic knowledge of relevant urban planning regulations in Italy.Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, SAM, GIS, and other photovoltaic design software.
Methodical, organised, and autonomous, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and initiative.
Excellent command of both Italian and English (written and spoken).
