Chiesi Corporate Functions
These are all the functions based in Parma supporting the business: Global HR, Global ICT, Global Finance, Global Communication and Public Affairs, Shared Values & Sustainability, Corporate Internal Auditing, Global Strategy & Corporate Development, Legal & Corporate Affairs, Global Procurement.
Purpose
To work, within the DPO Office and at the direct report of the Global Privacy Officer, in order to warrant compliance with the provisions of the EU Regulation 679/2016 (the "Regulation") and any other applicable legislation on personal data;
To liaise with the Data Protection Officers/Compliance Officers of the affiliates of the Chiesi Group in order to warrant strict alignment to the corporate standards for the management of personal data in accordance with applicable legislations.
Main ResponsibilitiesAssistance to the implementation of all the requirements of the Regulation, including: performance of risk assessments, gap analysis, drafting of the relevant internal documentation;
Foster a data protection culture within the Company and help to implement essential elements of data protection (e.g. assistance to the development and maintenance of relevant data privacy policies and trainings);
Partnering with all key business areas, in particular the IT Security team, to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new projects, products and initiatives (data protection by design and by default, DPIAs etc.);
Drafting of the agreements relating to the processing of personal data (e.g. data processing agreements);
Drafting and revision of information notices and consent forms for different stakeholders;
Assistance with drafting, revising and negotiating technology outsourcing agreements and general terms and conditions, including software purchase, license, maintenance agreement, and data storage solutions for the Group.
Monitoring the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to data privacy;Identifying, promoting, and managing legal innovation projects, implementing legal operations features and technology to support counsels to automate low-added value activities and increase their efficiency.
Experience Required
At least 1 year of experience in in-house legal departments or law firms, preferably in matters related to personal data protection and legal innovation.
- Law degree (e.g., J.D.)
- Master or equivalent postuniversity specialization in matters related to personal data protection (preferred)
English (fluent), Italian, or any additional language is a plus
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of EU and Italian data protection laws and regulations; knowledge of US privacy regulations is considered a plus;
Excellent command of Office 365 (in particular Power Point) and online research tools;
Ability to use privacy management systems (e.g. OneTrust) is considered a plus
