Project Development Manager, Solar PV -Italy

To be based in Milan my client is Energy Developer and EPC Construction Management business operating Globally across the world.

The business is predominately covering Solar and BESS sector related projects.

My client is seeking experienced and proactive Project Development manager to join its construction team and manage the organisation of key client projects.

The successful Project Development Manager will be responsible for developing utility-scale solar projects in Italy.

Reporting to:
Country Manager Italy

Key responsibilities:

To undertake and coordinate all necessary activities for the successful development of the projects, with the final target to reach all the required permits for implementing the project:
To take care of the project feasibility and evaluate according to the company criteria
To support Italian technical department in drafting and evaluating preliminary layouts and propose a technical solution to maximise the producibility of the plant
To assess the environmental and technical restrictions potentially affecting lands according to the Italian regulation/Law
To develop and maintain excellent relations with local stakeholders, including landowners, mayors, authorities and neighbours
To coordinate the technical activities with the local and groupwide experts
To identify and secure the land plots needed for the implementation of the project
To deal with the environmental aspects of the projects and suggest solutions to reduce impacts of the projects by maximizing acceptance of the communities and Authorities
To lead and manage the permitting process of PV projects in the Country
To communicate with the authorities, landowners and partners.
To report periodically to the Country Manager and the Holding team in accordance with the Company Policy.

Educations background and required skills:

Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering preferred)
Advanced knowledge of legal and administrative processes in Italy
5+ years of professional experience in PV/Wind projects
5+ years of experience as a Development Project Manager in renewable energy, specifically PV projects
High communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken

Salary:55,000 to 70,000 euro depence on experience
