Chiesi Research & Development

Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business.

It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, chemical manufacturing and controls, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management.

Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden) and Toronto (Canada).

Who we are looking for

Purpose


To be responsible for activities to ensure information support with regard to the selection, analysis and collection of information on competitors, targets and pathologies of interest for the company.

To participate proactively in the development of R&D projects through the colletion of tools and analyses derived from external information to facilitate decision-making.

May be asked to coordinate the activities of teams inside and outside the department

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analysis of competitors
  • Participation in core teams
  • Targeted literature searches
  • Collaboration with other internal stakeholders to research, analyse and make available the necessary information to support products/projects of expertise
  • Team coordination
  • Support the evaluation of products and/or projects through the retrieval and analysis of external information
  • Scenario analysis to support strategy definition
  • Presentation to top management
  • Proactive support to the activities of the areas of competence through the development of tools and/or complex analysis of information to facilitate the decisionmaking process
  • Benchmark analyses for the identification of new tools for research, selection, analysis and visualisation of information
Experience Required

5 years or more in similar tasks

Education

Scientific degree (Biotechnology, biology, pharmacy or similar)

Languages

Excellent English

Technical Skills
- knowledge of tools and sources for research, analysis and organisation of scientific, competition, regulatory and benchmark information.
- knowledge of the drug development process.

  • Experience in the scientific (medical/pharmacological) field
  • Basic knowledge of NLP (and AI in general) and visualisation and bioinformatics tools
