Context
GSK Siena site is an R&D site, with preclinical and development labs, and support functions offices.

Some third parties are already present inside the site borders, and this is a very interesting collaboration opportunity for the site:

in order to guarantee an efficient and stimulating work environment, the site must evolve the facility to amplify the vocation for innovation and continuous progress in the life sciences.


Project description
The scope of the project is the update of the

Siena Site Master Plan:
the development of site facilities and infrastructure must be aligned with the future way of working.

Many projects and activities are contributing to the Siena Innovation Campus program (i.e., Change Management, Real Estate management, Strategic Capex projects, "keep lights on" projects, demolition plans, attractive assets management, etc...)

The following activities are expected by the required profile:

  • Support on the update of the Siena site Master Plan.
  • Collect the requirements from site colleagues.
  • Support the site governance with WREF (Worldwide Real Estate and Facility).
  • Support the site activities of third parties (Engineering Offices who will support landscaping and Siena Site Master Plan activities).
The project gives the opportunity to overview many operations on-site and collaborate with many departments and specialized third parties.

Moreover, the proposed new way of working is state of the art and has the highest standard for workplaces management.


Competencies the intern will develop thanks to the internship experience
Knowledge in the research and production of vaccines. Smart way of working in labs and offices. Change management applied to the work environment. Work on complex programs with many stakeholders. Organization of complex programs and project management applied in Engineering projects.

Why you?:


Basic qualifications:


  • Technical background preferred (i.e.
    architect, engineer). Student or new graduate.
  • Excellent ability to manage a lot of information, summarize and prioritize activities.
  • English mother tongue or C2 certified, Italian Elementary (B1 preferred)
  • Microsoft office pack standard level (Microsoft Project included). AutoCAD elementary level.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Curious for outofthebox solutions and eager to learn new ways of working.
  • Good attitude to teamwork and to establish good relationships.
