    ID SO001 Automation System Technician - Mechatronics / Electronics

    For our Solar Unit, in the largest manufacturing site in the Solar industry in Europe (based in Catania), we are looking for an Automation Systems Technician specialized in Mechatronics (or similar) with previous experience on cutting-edge and highly technological production lines. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the automation system of the existing plant.

    Responsobilities:

  • Liaising with suppliers to optimize production processes
  • Compilation of maintenance reports
  • Acquiring system knowledge to understand hidden anomalies, software, and programming
  • First-level troubleshooting on the automation system ( PLC, fieldbus, HMI, SCADA )

    • Requirements

  • Degree or five-year technical diploma with post-diploma specialization in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics or related fields
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC (TIA Portal)
  • KuKa robotic programming language
  • Understanding and reading of electrical schematics
  • Basic diagnostics using a tester
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems (operating systems, Ethernet network, client/server architecture)
  • English proficiency
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus (es. Aveva System Platform, SQL, EBPro)
