What You'll Do
***As a Senior Networking Architect, you'll develop Cisco's exciting SW and HW Optical Networking solutions across key Service Provider, Public Sector & Large Enterprise Customers and Account Teams.

You will analyze available technology to evaluate what could fit into Cisco Optical Networking solutions both in term of Engineering and Customer fit point of view.
You will work with the rest of the Optical Architecture team, the Development organization to shape our Networking Solutions roadmaps.
You will collaborate with worldwide crossfunctional teams to improve our strategies, technology acumen and client proposals.
You will have the opportunity to be visible, interacting with senior management and engaging matrixmanaged projects, making you a key influencer of the Routed Optical Networking solutions worldwide.
Represent Cisco in the most important standardization forum (TIP, OpenROADM, IETF)

You have the ability to recognize industry trends in their infancy, helping Cisco to fulfill on the market needs of today whilst creating markets through the innovative use of Cisco and related technologies.

Can foster and has fostered longterm, trusted relationships with world wide Customers
15+ years related experience in telecommunication industry.
Typically requires PhD (Optical, Physic, Electronics) or equivalent.

Desired skills

Deep Technical understanding of Optical Networking system
10+ Experience in WDM control plane technology
10+ Experience in Multilayer controller technology
Experience in attending into Industry forum and standardization body: IETF, IEEE, OpenROADM, ITU-T, TIP
Excellent written, oral communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
English is a prerequisite, whilst additional languages are an advantage.
