General Role


The Financial Controller will be part of our Finance Department and he/she will report directly to the Financial Controlling Manager, providing day-to-day financial management.

The role will involve all Financial Controlling activities for our 11 boutiques in Italy and Greece.

Main responsibilities

  • Checking general accounting schedules in order to ensure that they are updated correctly and on time;
  • Preparing quarterly closures for the Hermès Group in accordance with IFRS accounting standards;
  • Supporting the creation of budgets and reestimates of profit and loss accounts and perform analytical reviews;
  • Managing the followup of the annual budget (opex and capex) and forecasts (opex and capex) with actual data;
  • Monitoring and controlling personnel costs and boutique overheads;
  • Always working for improvement in order to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Profile

  • Bachelor's (required) and Master's degree (nice to have) in Economics or similar;
  • At least 2 years of experience in both accounting and administration area or controlling area;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Italian, English and Greek;
  • Experience in IFRS reporting package;
  • Proficiency in Excel and information systems, SAP would be an advantage;
  • Methodical and logical approach;
  • High level analytical skills;
  • Be able to respect of deadlines and assigned tasks;
  • High level interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skill verbal and written;
  • Be able to interface with all levels of stakeholders and work with international team.
