    We are seeking a dedicated and driven Technical Buyer to join our team at Essity. This role could be ideal for those who thrive in an energetic and cooperative setting, reporting to the Sourcing Manager and based at the Porcari (Lucca) facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supplier Research and Selection: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of materials and technical components, assessing quality, costs, and their ability to meet company requirements.
    • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including prices, delivery times, and payment terms, to ensure the best value for the company.
    • Purchase Order Management: Issue purchase orders for materials and technical components, ensuring all technical specifications are met and orders are delivered on time.
    • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery times, and compliance with technical specifications, managing any quality issues or delivery delays.
    • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to ensure that purchased materials and components meet technical and production requirements.
    • Market Trend Analysis: Analyze material costs and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency.
    • Regulatory Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all purchased materials and components comply with applicable regulations and safety standards.

    About You:

    • Degree in industrial engineering, economics, or similar fields.
    • No prior experience required, but a strong aptitude for the role
    • Ability to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value.
    • Capability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, assess their performance, and manage any issues.
    • Ability to analyze material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Ability to plan and organize procurement activities to ensure materials are available when needed.
    • Ability to quickly and effectively identify and resolve technical and logistical issues.
    • Clear and effective communication skills with suppliers, colleagues, and other departments.
    • Ability to collaborate with various teams, including engineering, production, and quality.
