    Overview/Purpose of the job (provide an overview of your dept. and the role.

    What are the main priorities of the role, whom will they report to, and what is its function within the organisation, etc ):

    As Commercial analyst to the Commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the sales team to formulate and action commercial strategies.


    Provide the Commercial Team (Food & Closures) with information to support decisions around (but not exclusive to)


    • new Contracts,
    • price reviews mechanisms
    • EBITDA analysis provided by the Financial Team
    o Identify opportunities to improve the overall EBITDA


    • New Business opportunities including coordinating costings with Finance
    • Support the Management of quotes for new business
    • Support understanding of the Break down of costs including Transport and Print provided by Finance
    • Support the Management of Receivables with customers, together with the associated SSC
    • Support the Management of Customer Credit limits with the respective Finance teams
    o Including analysis of Customer financial performance


    • Support the Management in the Budget, Rolling Forecast and Business Review preparation
    • All paperwork related to customer set up within Eviosys systems
    o Currently JDE / EV / SP One stream but in the future including SAP


    • Volume reports
    o Daily / Monthly Sales / Ad hoc reports as required


    • Support the CTS Function with
    o Reporting

    o Analysis of spend

    o Opportunities for improvement


    • Manage and monitor Commercial Department spend including Marketing spend
    • Manage Print Repro costs with our customers
    • Regularly update Market Share data

    Role & accountabilities (what will the role be providing, what are the day to activities. Consider the level the role will operate at, is it internally or externally focused):

    • Conduct regular reviews of Customer performance and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate
    • Support analysing data on market trends, and customer behaviour
    • Support profitability analysis for product lines and customers
    • Provide financial insights to the Commercial team to support and inform decision making
    • Identify growth opportunities and create forecasts of future business positions
    • Create pricing proposals to support commercial negotiations
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to plan and execute commercial strategies
    • Track and report on key financial metrics
    • Provide financial support for any ad hoc projects or initiatives related to commercial activity
    • Monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify potential risks and opportunities
    • Ensure timely and accurate Commercial financial reporting to management and other stakeholders
    • Support Finance on Develop and maintaining financial models to support decision making
    • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure financial processes and procedures are aligned with best practices
    • Provide training and support to other members of the commercial team on financial matters

    PERSON SPECIFICATION – Essential Experience

    • Prior experience working in a commercial or finance role
