Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.


The Optical Networks Division of Nokia supplies cutting-edge optical products to Communication Service Providers (CSPs), Webscale and Enterprise customers globally and has a solid #2 position in the CSP space.

There is strong growth in all markets but the commercial organizations, i.e. the Business Centres and the Customer Experience teams, need to be actively managed to ensure continued growth.


What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

Be the Head of OND Commercial Operations responsible, on behalf of the Business Division head, for the active management of the programs and resources involved in the commercial side of the Optical Networks business.


  • Drive the necessary commercial programs for the business based on both strategic and tactical drivers
  • Ensuring allocation of resources across the BD, BCs, CX and other NI organizations (e.g. Marketing) are aligned with the Business Division's objectives
  • Ensuring and measuring execution of commercial programs
  • Building strong relationships across all organizations contributing to the Optical Networks business and across sibling organizations
  • Support of the presales/sales organizations on complex and/or nontraditional opportunities and/or segments
  • Maintaining and up to date outlook for the business

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Knowledge of the telecom networking market including offerings, customers, competitors; direction experience in the optical networks market preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of Telecom networks and the business pressures of those who operate them
  • Collaborative style with ability to building crossfunctional teams independent of reporting lines
  • Superior communication and presentation skills; ability to engage successfully at the CXO level
  • University degree in computer science or engineering; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years' experience in Sales Management (direct or overlay)
  • 5+ years' in General Management
  • Operational experience in nontelecommunications roles
