Our fast-growing Technology startup sennder Italia is looking for a Head of Operations - Responsabile dipartimento operativo to join our "Operations Team" responsible for the national and international market (UE).

As Head of Operations - Responsabile dipartimento operativo you'll manage several teams each one focused on specific topics (national, international, spot and key account) and you'll be responsible for the department strategy and play a leadership role in achieving the company's objectives.


You'll be collaborating closely with the COO, the Head of Sales, and Purchasing department to ensure the best transport service and quality.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:


  • Manage yours teams to ensure coverage for open available freight using internal tools, external capacity resources, and learned sales techniques;
  • Improve the relationship with our Key Suppliers and support the Procurement department in tender and contract evaluation;
  • Define KPI and target for the teams;
  • Ensure periodic reports and analysis to be provided to management;
  • Organize periodical meeting for strategy and results with the management translating company directives into objectives and actions;
  • Supervise our daily transports and handle all arising inquiries from carriers;
  • Manage a team and work with carriers to solve complex business challenges to identify opportunities and recommend solutions;
  • Develop team members skills, manage problems and provide performance analysis to support sennder Italia's success in achieving its goals.

PREFERABLY YOU ARE:


  • Confident in using data to analyze and track key metrics;
  • 5+ years experienced in full truck load transport by road (preferably with Freight Forwarding experience);
  • 3+ years experienced in people management with at least 10 direct reports;
  • Updated on freight forwarding market dynamics;
  • Experience in managing framework agreements with suppliers;
  • A great problem solver as well as a person with an entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Knowledgeable on how to validate business opportunities (feasibility and sustainability)
  • You speak and write Italian fluently (native level) and you are fully proficient in English.
