We are seeking a
Labo Team Leader eager to join our Team in Varisco Product Company Padova, Italy.

Varisco is a well-established and ever-expanding company. It manufactures pumps, both for dewatering and industrial use. In 2016 Varisco was acquired by Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational company with 150 years of history behind it.

As
Labo Team Leader you will report to the Engineering Manager and your Mission includes the overall team management, project coordination and follow up, competence development of the team, monitoring deliverables and timely communication with various stakeholders.

You support Labo team by assembling, testing prototypes of machines and their components and also manage labo tools and maintenance in according to the Atlas Copco "Concept to Product" (C-t-P) guidelines.

In addition, the Team Leader works closely with other Teams to support our existing product portfolio.


Main tasks for the role:


  • Coordinate Labo team to achieve company goals.
  • Managing the prototype laboratory and the tests on specific projects, in compliance with safety and current regulations
  • Assembling and testing prototypes of machines and machine components
  • Manage timing and reporting for all the aspects of the project: Technical Specifications, instructions and all related documents
  • Design, sizing and manufacturing, calibration and certification of specific labo tooling needed for the requested tests and labo activities.
  • Provide complete documentation of the performed tests according to regulations
  • Support to production and tests when starting new products in production
  • Training of technicians and engineers on the use of the labo tooling
  • Cooperate with other engineering departments: New Product Development, Core development.
  • Support to other departments on project related activities during the different phases: Purchasing, Production, Marketing, Logistics, Aftermarket.
  • Proven experience in people management (min 3 years)
  • Proven experience in engineering (min 5 years)
  • Experience in hydraulics design and testing would be an asset
  • Experience in prototype assembling
  • English and fluent Italian are a must
  • Positive and proactive approach, empathy and resilience
  • Structured approach to lead activities with precision and punctuality
  • Problem solving and team working attitude
  • Ability to coordinate a team by taking care of priorities and deadlines, being able to plan ahead
  • Ability to keep respectful relations with all colleagues in order to foster a safe, calm and productive environment
