IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join the the lab of Immunobiology of Neurological Disorders, and unravel biological processes associated with multiple sclerosis, an inflammatory disorder of the central nervous system.

Main activities:

Goal of the project is the analysis of immunity in neurogenerative disorders in human and experimental mouse models, starting from transcriptomics observations to then move to ex vivo proteomics approaches and in vitro functional assays (see Acquaviva et al. Cell Reports Med 2020, Acquaviva et al. Front. Immunol. 2019; Severa et al. J.

Who we are looking for:

You have a PhD in life science with a main scientific expertise in immunology, and are skilled in histological, immunological and molecular techniques (e.g. immune cell separation and stimulation, multiparametric flow cytometry, cytospin, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, proliferation assays, RNA extraction, gene expression and silencing). Fluency in English, problem solving attitude, independence in work organization and flexibility are expected.
