CNH Industrial is hiring for our Linux Kernel Development team.

As an experienced manager in this field, you bring an understanding of embedded architecture and OS concepts to help guide the team for integration across multiple ECUs.

Help steer the team to design and develop features in the Linux Kernel for the upcoming in-vehicle platforms that will host a Linux solution.

This position will be accountable for growing, managing and leading a team that will develop and own the BSP/Kernel and software performance tools across all existing and future embedded products for the Agriculture and Construction Equipment brands for CNHi.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential competences and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field from an accredited university is required Minimum 8 years of software development experience with embedded systems.

Minimum 8 years of experience in designing software with C, C++ or Java. Minimum 3 years of managing global or remote software engineering teams. 3+ years of experience with Linux, preferably in an embedded environment. Solid software development fundamentals such as unit testing, build automation, branched based development, and modern documentation practices. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Additional skills and experiences:
Masters in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Good understanding of CMake for build, automation testing and packaging. Direct experience deploying and tuning Linux Yocto distributions. Familiarity with OpenGL ES or 3D experience is a plus. Automotive / Commercial Vehicle experience. Understanding of Automotive networking protocols such as J1939, CAN, LIN, XCP, UDS, ISOBUS. Experience with SAFe Software Development Processes. Experience with Software Engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, JIRA, Git, Gerrit, Jenkins. Experience with Squish or other GUI testing tools is a plus.
