Job Description:

Job title - Plant Manager Graffignana - MillerKnoll

Department - Operations

Reports to - Director of Europe Operations

Location -Graffignana (LO) - Italy

Job summary


Overall responsibility and accountability for MillerKnoll Graffignana Plant Manufacturing, to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising production levels and driving operational excellence.

Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, striving for best in class production and business practices to deliver to the customer's expectations, managing teams and projects across Graffignana MillerKnoll Manufacturing.

Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.

Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.

Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated.


Direct and drive the implementation of MKPS (MillerKnoll Production System) across all manufacturing related areas of the business, achieving the excellence through a solid, diffused and constantly applied continuous improvement culture.

Company requirements

Health & Safety:
ensure that safe work practices are followed. Attend safety briefings as required.

Take responsibility for your own safety, for employees, contractors and visitors pursuant to the DVR - Fundamental document of the Consolidated Law on Safety at Work (Law 81/2008).


Compliance:
ensure compliance with business systems, processes, certification schemes, regulations and legislation relevant to the scope of the role. Support internal quality controls and audits to demonstrate compliance.

Job holder requirements

Technical /managerial degree (management or mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience.


At least 5 years' experience as production manager in manufacturing and production companies in metal furniture, automotive, mechanical components or similar sectors.

Fluent English, written and spoken.

Problem solving minded.

Manufacturing cost, capex and opex control proven experience.

Use of modern ERP and MES systems.
