Within the Ground Segment Department of Domain Observation and Navigation Italy, he/she has to perform the Radar Ground Segment Verification and Validation engineering activities, with particular focus on planning V&V activities, defining test scenarios and test platforms, maintain requirements verification control through DVCMs (at segment and subsystem levels), with the aim to ensure a robust and complete verification and validation process for the Ground Segment of EO SAR Product family.

Task description:

As member of the Engineering Team he/she shall be in charge of:

Analysis of input documentation at system and segment levels (e.g. system/GS/space-to-ground interface requirements, system operational concept, system and GS architecture and ICDs)
Analysis of requirements at GS subsystem level
Definition of GS AIV tasks for Integration and Verification/Validation
Identification of Integration and Verification logic/strategy and AIV guidelines
Identification of possible AIV risks areas and alternative paths
Definition of GS AIV Master Plan and related schedule
Definition of test scenarios, test dataset and test environment and platforms
Maintain the requirements baseline verification status (through DVCM in DOORS and reporting docs)
Participate to technical meeting (internal and with customer)

Language:
fluent English, spoken and written

Personal requirements:

Working heritage on major earth observation ground segment systems
Knowledge of RADAR principles
Knowledge of system engineering processes for requirements and solution integration and verification
Knowledge of main EO mission programming schemes (user request management and mission planning) and typical mission constraints
Knowledge of control segment main functions (flight dynamics, spacecraft control center)
Knowledge of production management main functions (SAR processing orchestration)
Knowledge of Ground Stations (S-Band, X-Band) main functions
Knowledge of object programming in particular Python, and C ++.
Knowledge of microservices SW design, DevOps methodology and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Ability to relate to people to find information, share analysis results and facilitate "problem solving";
Availability to travel;
Excellent ability to work by deadlines
