Chiesi Research & Development

Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business.

It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, chemical manufacturing and controls, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management.

Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden) and Toronto (Canada).

Who we are looking for

Purpose

Ensure the constant updating of the costs/investments/resources present in the Planisware planning system and in JDE according to the indications coming from the Department area head, R&D Finance, Project Management.

Ensure the consistency of these values with those present in other Chiesi controlling systems (e.g. SAP).
Keep track of differences between planned and actual expenses, be able to provide relevant justifications.

Manage the relationship with the Legal Department, Outsourcing management Department and Procurement for the development of contracts with external providers.

Main Responsibilities

Follow PLANISWARE guidelines in order to ensure the correctness of cost, investment and resource data in the PLANISWARE planning system.

Update project plans in PLANISWARE for both costs and resources (including BDG-FCT-PCL).
Monitor changes in costs and resources. In particular, compile the Justification for Deviation in PLANISWARE according to the relevant SOPs respecting the indicated deadlines.
Verify the status of activities in order to support the closing costs at the end of the financial year.
Ensure consistency of PLANISWARE and SAP through data maintenance in SAP (if applicable) or alignment with relevant personnel within the Department / Functional Area
Ensure collection of departmental data to calculate Corporate and Departmental KPIs (when applicable).
Coordinate with R&D Finance and Project Management Outsourcing, Management Department and Procurement to ensure alignment of cost and resource information with actual status of projects and activities within the PLANISWARE system

Experience Required

At least 2 year of experience in similar roles in a complex environment

Education

Degree in economics or languages

Languages

English fluent

Technical Skills
Accounting, Finance, Project Management general principles.
