- Leading hardware platforms definition and design processes, ensuring alignment with our overall product strategy and objectives.
- Collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications for hardware components.
- Managing external service providers and consultants involved in hardware design activities, including PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly, to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Conducting thorough design reviews and implementing improvements to optimise performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including presenting technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
- Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware design engineering
- Proficiency in CAD tools, simulation software, and hardware description languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog).
- Strong understanding of hardware design principles, including analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience in managing external service providers and consultants for PCB design projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to hardware development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the development of hardware platforms for the space industry.
- Knowledge of main standards and protocols relevant to the space industry, such as ECSS and CCSDS.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer in AIKO, you will play a pivotal role in designing future hardware platforms to enable Artificial Intelligence in space.
