    Cloud SysOps Engineer (Midlevel, AWS|Azure, CCH Tagetik)

    What are your responsibilities as Cloud SysOps Engineer?

    You will immediately get exposure to a variety of technologies, development teams, tools, and processes. As part of a Cloud Operations team, you will benefit from the collaboration with the other members, participating in the Cloud infrastructure management and evolution, the investigation and resolution of system and performance issues and proactive monitoring our production environment. You will be expected to cooperate with developers to the organization of dev/prod environments, environments variable and to improve design choices.

    Our core Cloud engineering department is based in Lucca where all the teams are working closely together in developing our products for our major industries such as banking, insurance, automotive and retail. We strongly believe in the Agile way of working that has really been embedded in our daily work. We leverage teamwork, self-organization and proactivity as the best solution comes from collective intelligence and collaborative decision making.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop, maintain, enhance, and extend our Cloud infrastructure.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve Cloud service issues working with Customer Support, other development teams, and Product Management.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure serviceavailability
  • Contribute to recognize patterns of issues and potential root causes, and advocate for investigation and/or holistic fixes.
  • Help manage emergency plans for the cloud service, implementing backup/restore systems
  • Help manage disaster recovery solutions based on stakeholder requirements
  • Help to maintain and improve the security posture and maturity of our organization
  • Automate & optimize application availability, scalability, performance monitoring and alerting.
  • in examining operational activities and technology debt scenarios that would benefit from new ideas or automation.
  • Help ensure the team continues to evolve and improve everything we do, and how we do it.
  • Help ensure process repeatability, track/documents any change to infrastructure, assist customers during deployment/downtime activities

    Eagerness to learn new things and strong collaboration skills and willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships.

    You must have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • Strong Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Experience in Linux operating systems, shell scripting and networking.
  • Experiencein relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in maintaining and monitoring backup systems.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, experienced in customer management
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English.
  • Working experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira or Salesforce)

    • It is better if you also have knowledge of the following:

  • Virtualization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of configuration management (e.g. Chef) and cloud automation (e.g. Terraform)
  • Programming language (e.g. Pyhton, Ruby).
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices.
  • AWS or Azurecertifications.
