    Manpower is seeking a Junior Mechanisms Design Engineer for an Aerospace Company

    Job Description:

    • The candidate will be responsible for defining project solutions related to mechanisms for space missions vehicles by analyzing requirements and selecting components.
    • Design solutions must be mass-efficient and structurally sound to withstand launch and mission loads effectively.
    • Capability in FEM and Multibody analyses is essential to support design solutions.
    • Support the development process through test articles and breadboards to validate design solutions.

    Key duties:

    • Design mechanisms for manned and non-manned modules and satellites using spacecraft mechanical design principles.
    • Carry out tasks such as structural part definition, mechanisms part sizing, material selection, tolerance definition, CAD model review, and finite element modeling.
    • Support spacecraft mechanisms development and verification plans and provide reporting.

    Required skills, experience, and qualifications:

    • Mechanical Engineering Knowledge.
    • Basic knowledge of metallic and non-metallic technologies, aerospace design methodologies, and tribology.
    • Proficiency in CAD, CAM processes, and manufacturing drawing readings.
    • Full capability of Windows Office package and software tools like Nastran, Hyperworks, Femap, Patran, ADAMS, or Motion View.
    • Assets include competencies in Matlab, Mathcad, Simulink, Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Prior experience in Structural or Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous.
    • Excellent written and spoken English; French language knowledge is a plus.
