Business Overview of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking - Corporate Coverage EMEA

Within CIB, Corporate Coverage EMEA is responsible for advising corporate clients and delivering an array of the firm's services across strategically targeted client groups in various business sectors.

In this context, the Coverage Vice President supports the Coverage Team in the management of relationships with large companies, with the aim of helping develop the global relationship.

Primary Responsibilities as Corporate Coverage
Vice President
The role is concentrated around the following 3 key responsibility pillars: commercial, credit and compliance/KYC.

On the commercial side, the Coverage VP supports the Bankers in the preparation and follow up of the Strategic Business Review and contributes to the development of the client relationship and profitability.

He/she is also in charge of the Multinational Corporations (MNCs) coordination.

Regarding the credit analysis, the Coverage VP plays a fundamental role in the selection of the bank's assets, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the business model.

His/her expertise and objectivity are critical in reaching the right credit decisions.

He/she is responsible for monitoring the overall risks and credit process of a portfolio of Pilot Groups, including the Green light process and the structuring of plain vanilla products / loan book transactions.

KYC activity is focused on the more added-value tasks by supporting Bankers in steering the KYC Strategy for their client portfolio.

As Coverage VP you will:

Support the Managing Director and Director in the overall client relationship, including origination, structuring and execution of transactions.
Act as daytoday relationship manager on selected clients with the support of the D and MD on complex situations or strategic dialogue.
Work closely with product colleagues to ensure efficient execution of transactions.
Assist in day to day supervision of associates and act as point of contact for any escalation matter.
Mentor analysts and associates.

What we expect from you

Education: Degree in Finance and/or Economics and/or Accounting with a strong knowledge of financial analysis under several standards (IFRS, local)
Behavioral skills: Ethical standards, teamwork and analytical approach; proactivity and problemsolving attitude; ambition/learning curve and strong desire for achievement; responsiveness; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capability to work under tight deadlines, excellent time management and prioritization.
Technical skills: Fluent in English is compulsory, any European languages a plus; good knowledge of accounting, financial and valuation techniques; good numerical and analytical skills; good modelling skills.

At least, 7 years' experience in Investment Banking, ideally successful current or past experience in Coverage Sector.
